The Walt Disney Concert Hall, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, is an unconventional work of art. Built with an exterior of stainless steel and an interior of Douglas Fir, it covers nearly 4 acres, surrounded by outdoor gardens and memorial fountains. With lush acoustics that are second to none, the Concert Hall is home to the world renowned Los Angeles Philharmonic and host to numerous concerts, recitals, and events throughout the year.
The Buddy Group set out to create an interactive virtual tour that would be as unique and visionary as the Concert Hall itself. The tour uses images and videos set to an informative narration which can be viewed uninterrupted from start to finish. Or, if the user wishes to skip to a specific portion of the tour, they can click on any section along the timeline. The tour also makes use of The Buddy Group’s “Pause to Play” technology which overlays a hot spot on the video that, when rolled over, pauses the video and displays detailed pop-ups about the specific aspects of the Concert Hall.
The Walt Disney Concert Hall Interactive Tour gives an inside look into this extraordinary building, providing an insight and an appreciation that may otherwise go unnoticed.
